Production Process and Classification of Rubber Sheet
January 04, 2024
The production process of rubber sheets involves basic processes such as plasticization, mixing, rolling or extrusion, forming, and vulcanization. Each process has different requirements for the product and is accompanied by several auxiliary operations. In order to add various required blending agents to rubber, raw rubber first needs to undergo plasticization to improve its plasticity. Then, carbon black and various rubber additives are uniformly mixed with rubber through mixing to form a rubber material. The rubber material is pressed out to form a certain shape billet. Then combine it with textile materials (or metal materials) that have been rolled, glued or coated to form semi-finished products. Finally, after vulcanization, the plastic semi-finished product is made into a highly elastic final product.
There are different types of rubber sheets, and the following is a preliminary classification.
1. According to whether the medium is sandwiched or not, it can be divided into pure rubber sheets, cloth sandwiches, metal skeleton layer sandwiches, and other varieties;
2. According to their usage, they can be divided into industrial rubber sheets and rubber flooring.
3. According to physical and chemical properties, it can be divided into: cloth insertion rubber sheet, cloth sticking rubber sheet, insulating rubber sheet, oil resistant rubber sheet, acid and alkali resistant rubber sheet, anti-slip fine ribbed rubber plate, diamond rubber sheet, round rot rubber sheet, asbestos rubber sheet, oil resistant asbestos rubber sheet
4. According to color and surface treatment, it can be divided into: black rubber sheet, green rubber sheet (commonly known as green flat rubber sheet), red rubber sheet (commonly known as red flat rubber sheet), white rubber sheet, yellow rubber sheet, blue rubber sheet, gray rubber sheet, and so on.
